Built over a 100years ago,The Poorani Sabzi Mandi as it is referred to is situated right in the center of the busy bustling Daanda Bazaar. Earlier goods were brought to the location by bail-gaadi's ,the use of motorized transport made it difficult for the vendors who had to carry the goods from the market entrance as the vehicles could not maneuver their way through the little galli's.
After the destructive 2001 earthquake hit the state of Gujrat, The city of Bhuj expanded by including two small villages into its circumference.Though no major damage was done to this structure,the occupants moved to other parts of the city,finding it more convenient and better business .
