Home for the next few days...

The company......(they dont really hang out together so its difficult to get a family picture)

The room is pretty good.Ive learnt its always best to expect the worst possible scenario, the reality will almost never turn out to so bad.No, but seriously, this place is decent. The bathroom even has a skylight. :-/ .Besides,a college senior of mine had prepared me well in advance- 'carry a mosquito net ,lots of  repellant and enjoy the power cuts' pretty good advice if you ask me .

Getting there was a task (I'm not talking about the project...that! was a mahabharat in itself)

A very productive train ride later (I slept for 22 of the 27 hour journey) I arrived in Bhuj...from there it was an hour drive through the barren countryside.Kala Raksha is situated in a village called Sumrasar Sheikh.

I met Judy Frater -the lady who runs this organisation. We discussed the project and the plan for the next three weeks over 2 glasses of buttermilk.I spent the rest of the day sweeping, swobbing, dusting, cleaning and swobbing again.

I dint sleep too well the first night, kept waking up with the image of Samara (u'know from 'The Ring') Finally at 3 I got up dragged my cot to the corner of the room, lied down with my back against the wall and fell asleep

I woke up at 5...on my FREAKING OWN!!...(i spent a whole minute staring at the wall clock not sure if I was dreaming)...I got up did up the room ,made myself a cup of green tea and went out to the balcony
