Hate getting out of bed ? dread the thought of work after the weekend ?
haha , I dont ( here , is where I stick my tongue out )
I'm back in Bhuj. I was welcomed back
wonderfully...by the sugarcane juice waala in front of Prag Mahal...the
photographer....the silversmith...the silver jewellery shop owner...the chai
waala...the mochi...and the bandhani store owner....all of them had
met me once (except for the silver jewellery guy...of course ;) )
... Iv had SO much chai...im afraid i will burst!!...
Im here for a month with The Aina Mahal. It has been the most interesting project Ive taken up.
I walk around in awe , this place is absolutely stunning , it is covered from floor to ceiling in exquisite works of art . There is so much I plan to do here :)
Kind Mr Jethi, the curator of the Aina Mahal museum takes out time from his terribly busy schedule to teach me about the history of Kutch , its culture and traditions its people and their lifestyle , the effect of commercialization and tourism on this part of Gujrat.
The solid three hour lunch break I spend reading a book on the balcony facing the erstwhile swimming pool , now in shambles covered with cactus and ivy.I often put my book down to watch the squirrels play hide and seek , their cheerfulness heart warming , the sound of the old radio comforting.
